The Beacon LCD monitors are designed for the discerning yachtsman. These high resolution monitors boast a precision-machined industrial grade aluminum case that is sturdy and waterproof... not the plastic cases found in so many other monitors. The aluminum case is then anodized and powder coated for a finish that is rugged, textured and stylish. You'll never have to worry about corrosion or water damage affecting your Beacon's internal electronics.

Beacon monitors are available in four sizes with scalable resolutions from VGA 640x480 to SXGA 1280x1024. Installation options, with either the water-tight enclosed or open frame configurations, allow for all types of front or rear bulkhead mounting. In addition, an industry standard mounting arm pattern allows for limitless custom mounting arrangements. Front panel controls afford you easy access to power on/off and allow you to adjust your monitor settings using the on-screen display, which also includes an auto setup feature. All this translates into a monitor that is designed for longevity, meets the needs of your helm configuration offers you a brilliant, crisp color display.

Touch screen technology provides the most intuitive way for interacting with your computer system and applications... proven repeatedly in medical and industrial settings. One touch on the Beacon LCD screen to view charts, radar, systems and communitcations. One touch to switch from one application to another. In an emergency, one touch for a novice operator to send and receive critical information.

As an added benefit, a touch screen monitor eliminates the need for a mouse, freeing up space at your helm and reducing your hardware requirements. Touch screen capability can be added to any size Beacon monitor. One touch... for the control and ease of use your helm requires and you deserve.

Direct Sunlight Option

While the standard Beacon LCD monitors use a high bright LCD panel (by industry standards), there may be times when your monitor needs to function in direct sunlight. For this reason, Beacon offers a sunlight viewable configuration that is one of the brightest on the market today... providing clear, crisp, bright imaging even with the sun shining directly on it. There's no magic to this technology: Beacon uses some of the brightest CCFL lamps available to the industry and has engineered the Beacon monitors to take full advantage of this extra brightness. Contrast and brightness are fully adjustable on all Beacon monitors, giving you perfect imaging in daylight, sunlight or at night. The Direct Sunlight option can be added to many of our Beacon monitors.
